Illustrator

I create delightful illustrations that connect audiences with big ideas. I believe levity is key to scaling the walls of doubt or distrust and is essential in bringing people and new viewpoints together. I began my career making shirts & posters for my favorite bands and have since created campaigns and experiences for select clients including TED, Target, ESPN, and Pepsi. I’ve been fortunate to have my work recognized over the last 20 years in many books and magazines and most recently on my mom’s refrigerator.

What kinds of projects are you looking for?

I’m looking to work with startups in need of an initial spark or a proven brand trying to find its flame. Too often businesses get stuck and stick with “what we’ve always done”. I like to come in, unpack what is working, what is not, and then inject some fun into the mix, which I’ve found is a surefire way to get the right attention. Specifically, I’d love to work more in the sports, food & bev, tech, and editorial spaces.

What makes your work unique?

I shine at taking complicated systems or new ideas and reducing them into digestible and thoughtful scenes or symbols. My goal is for the end product to not only be delightfully simple but, more importantly, simply delightful.

What does your creative process look like?

After a quick kickoff, I put together a clear brief that I then begin to funnel ideas through. I start with initial sketches, you sign off on the best concept, and then it’s off to the races. We work together to bring it home and out into the world. My goal is to avoid any confusion early and often with my client mantra: clarity is kindness.
